Aggregation and Specialisation are two basic principles on which the Campus Iberus strategy is built. In the field of R&I, we promote cooperation, resource sharing, efficiency and excellence in research, fostering the creation of structures for the aggregation of research capacities through the “Iberus Action Groups”. These structures integrate researchers from the 4 universities, together with companies and organisations from the surrounding area, and aim to develop joint projects generated within the framework of our Strategic Plan and the sectorial Action Plans defined for each thematic specialisation area of the Campus, seeking an impact on the local area as well as its international dimension.

The long history of research and scientific excellence of the Campus Iberus universities is backed by their participation in more than 240 Research and Innovation framework projects, collaborations with more than 2,200 national and international institutions, and accreditation with the “HR Excellence in Research Award” of the European Commission.

This area of specialisation aims to promote collaborative research of excellence as an instrument to improve the innovative potential, competitiveness and sustainable growth of the Agri-Food and Nutrition sector in the Ebro Valley, covering a wide range of knowledge disciplines and subsectors of activity, in synergy with research actions in other thematic areas of the Campus.

This area of specialisation aims to stimulate joint research actions in a wide range of knowledge disciplines related to social and territorial development, with particular emphasis on Cultural Heritage, Social Sciences and Humanities, Territory, Demographic Change and Well-being, or Sustainable Development, in synergy with research actions in other thematic areas of the Campus.

This area of specialisation aims to promote research and development of innovative solutions to address global challenges in the framework of a low-carbon economy, with particular emphasis on the field of Renewable Energies and Sustainable Environment, in synergy with research actions in other thematic areas of the Campus.
