The extensive experience of Campus Iberus’ universities in doctoral training is backed by an education offer of more than 85 PhD programmes and nearly 3.000 students enrolled in the four Doctoral Schools of our universities.

In collaboration with these, Campus Iberus promotes inter-university initiatives, such as the launching of joint Doctorate Programmes in the areas of specialisation; it also leads Innovative Doctorate Actions under European programmes of excellence, such as the Iberus Talent programme, created within the framework of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND of Horizon 2020. Likewise, Campus Iberus organizes, on a regular basis, training activities aimed to support the acquisition of transversal competences and development of professional career of our doctoral students, as well as support actions to international mobility and talent attraction.

Campus Iberus promotes, in collaboration with its unversities, the development of joint Doctoral Programmes across different areas of specialisation. Currently, Campus Iberus offers the “Doctoral Program in Heritage, Societies and Border Areas”, coordinated by the Public University of Navarra. From the academic year 2020-2021, we will be offering the “Doctoral Program in Efficient Production Systems and Agro-Food Quality”, coordinated by the University of Lleida.

The Doctoral Schools of the 4 universities of Campus Iberus provide a broad educational offer which enables to access to more than 85 Doctoral Programmes. In addition, training activities for acquisition of specific competences within each Doctoral Programme are also complemented by Doctoral Schools through further training oriented to the development of transversal skills and professional career of doctoral fellows.

Selected by the European Commission through the competitive programme Horizon 2020 – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions COFUND“Iberus Talent” aims to attract young international research talent to develop individual research projects within the framework of a PhD programme at one of its four universities, in the fields of Agri-Food and Nutrition, and Health Technologies.

Campus Iberus supports the research and professional career development of its doctoral students by strengthening the training offer provided by the Doctoral Schools of our four universities. this is done through the organisation, on a regular basis of dedicated events, such as the annual Doctoral Days or Doctoral Competitions, aimed to encourage scientific dissemination and communication of doctoral research results as well as networking and knowledge exchange with other International fellows.

In a changing world, internationalization is a fundamental value for a better doctoral education, skills development and and career prospects. Campus Iberus supports international mobility of our universities’ doctoral students by enabling mobility schemes aimed at co-financing stays for doctoral students traineeship purposes in collaborating institutions in the EU, Asia and Latin America.

Iberus Connect aims to integrate international students doing their doctoral studies at the universities of the Campus Iberus consortium by creating a community of doctoral students.

Prizes are awarded annually to recognise the quality of doctoral theses in various fields.
These are calls for applications, promoted by different public and private institutions, which are open to authors of theses defended at any of the Campus Iberus universities.
