Doctorate

The extensive experience of Campus Iberus’ universities in doctoral training is backed by an education offer of more than 85 PhD programmes and nearly 3.000 students enrolled in the Doctoral Schools of our 4 universities.

In coordination with those, we promote inter-university cooperation activities, such as the implementation of Joint Doctoral Programmes in the areas of specialization of the Campus, and  Innovative Doctoral Actions under excellent EU R&I programmes, such as the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action COFUND “Iberus Talent”.  Likewise, Campus Iberus organizes, on a regular basis, training activities aimed to support the acquisition of transversal competences and development of professional career of our PhD students, as well as support actions to international mobility and talent attraction.

Campus Iberus promotes, in collaboration with its universities, the development of Joint Doctoral Programmes across different areas of specialization. Currently, Campus Iberus offers the “Doctoral Programme in Heritage, Societies and Border Areas”, coordinated by the Public University of Navarra. From the academic year 2020-2021, we will be offering the “Doctoral Programme in Efficient Production Systems and Agro-Food Quality”, coordinated by the University of Lleida.

The Doctoral Schools of the 4 universities of Campus Iberus provide a broad educational offer, which enables to access to more than 85 Doctoral Programmes. In addition, training activities for acquisition of specific competences within each Doctoral Programme are complemented by Doctoral Schools through further training oriented to the development of transversal skills and professional career of doctoral fellows.

Selected by the European Commission through the competitive programme H2020, the Marie Słodowska-Curie Action COFUND “Iberus Talent” Doctoral Programme aims to attract international early-stage researchers willing to embark on individual research projects within the framework of a PhD Programme in one of our 4 universities. PhD Programmes within “Iberus Talent” are focused in the research fields of Agro-Food & Nutrition, and Health Technologies.

Campus Iberus supports the research and professional career development of its doctoral students by enlarging the training offer provided by the different Doctoral Schools. For this, we organise, on a regular basis, dedicated PhD-oriented events such as the annual Doctoral Days or Doctoral Competitions, aimed to encourage scientific dissemination and communication of research results as well as networking and knowledge exchange with other international fellows.

In a changing world, internationalization is a fundamental value for a better Doctoral education, skills acquisition and development, and career prospects. We encourage and support international mobility of our universities’ doctoral students by enabling mobility schemes aimed at co-financing stays for traineeship purposes in collaborating institutions across the EU, Asia and Latin America.
