History and milestones

2010, May: Collaboration agreement between the Spanish public universities of Zaragoza, Navarra, Lleida and La Rioja for the setting up of the Campus of International Excellence of the Middle Ebro Valley.


2010, October: Resolution of the Secretary General for Universities of the Spanish Ministry of Education whereby the project Campus Iberus, Campus of International Excellence of the Ebro Valley is awarded with the distinction “Campus of International Excellence: CIE 2010”.


2011, June: Collaboration agreement between the University of Zaragoza, Public University of Navarra, University of Lleida and University of La Rioja for the foundation of the Campus Iberus Consortium.


2012, May: foundation of the Campus Iberus Consortium.


2012, September: Collaboration agreement between Campus Iberus, the Université de Toulouse and the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour for the promotion and creation of the Cross-border Campus EBRoS (European Bioregion of Science) Western Pyrenees.


2014, July: celebration of the 1st Iberus Doctoral Seminar in Jaca (Huesca).


2014, July: start of activities of the Brussels delegation. 

2015-2016: delivery of the first inter-university doctoral programme by the Universities of Zaragoza, Lleida, La Rioja, Public University of Navarra and the French Universities of Toulouse and of Pau and Pays de l’Adour.


2015, December: the Campus Iberus project is confirmed as a Campus of International Excellence (CIE) in the final resolution of the programme by the Spanish Ministry of Education. 

2017, November: setting up of the Campus Iberus delegation in Bogotá, Colombia.


2018, September: publication of the modification of the Organisational Chart of job positions at Campus Iberus.


2019, June: publication of the modification of the Articles of Association of the Campus Iberus Consortium.

2021, July: the Campus Iberus Consortium renews its alliance with the autonomous communities of Catalunya, La Rioja, Aragón and Navarra by signing an agreement to carry out actions in the fields of research, internationalization, doctoral studies and the dissemination of research.
