Campus Iberus seeks to assert itself as a space for solidarity, helping to form participatory citizens who are ready to find solutions to society’s problems and to make that participation compatible with its daily activity as a University.
Campus Iberus keeps communication channels open with other Institutions, Foundations, Associations and NGO’s for the promotion of solidarity attitudes, while at the same time carrying out a set of coordinated actions throughout the campus in the field of solidarity, volunteering and development cooperation.
The Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities define University Development Cooperation as “the ensemble of actions carried out by the university community members aimed at achieving social transformation in the most underprivileged countries, for the advancement of peace, justice, human development and environmental sustainability in the world, in which transformation institutional and academic reinforcement plays an important role”
